Vacation, YEAH RIGHT!

I know....it still sounds like I'm a little bitter that we didn't get to go on vacation, and I'm the one that keeps telling Keri to get over it because there is nothing we could do about it. So, ok...I'm over it. We did get a lot of stuff done around the house however. New kitchen faucet installed. Spare bedroom (hopefully the baby room someday) is painted and new carpet. Office painted. Bathrooom ceiling painted and walls washed. Master bedroom, ceiling painted, carpet shampoo'd and windows washed. This will all accomplished from Sunday on through Tuesday evening. I'm exhausted. This picture is our kitchen. We actually it's 3 rooms moved into our kitchen! There were only a few minor war wounds. 1) Keri dropped a cresent wrench on her mouth leaving a gash and nice bruise. 2) I decided I was no longer interested in drilling the shelf to the wall and decided to drill a hole into my hand instead! We'll recover! We got a lot of stuff done though! YEAH!! Who knew that remodeling and painting required so much money. We have spent and obscene amount of money in the last 3 days. We should have gone on vacation, we probably wouldn't have spent as much! OK>>>I"M DONE GRIPING ABOUT VACATION>

Tomorrow is Wednesday and we are going down to Madison to visit Grandma Keach. We heard that she is recovering from surgery nicely. Grandma will be giving people a hard time before we know it! Way to go grandma! Of course while we are in Madison we are stopping at the German store. I'm pretty excited about that too!

Hopefully there is some rest in this vacation at home somewhere!

NO VACATION

Well, vacation is a bust. We were supposed to leave early tomorrow (Saturday) morning to start our trip out west. It included stops in Oklahoma, New Mexico, a couple days stay in Las Cruces, a drive to the Grand Canyon, and then on back home through Arkansas and Missouri. Well, the weather decided to be a problem. Oklahoma and Kansas were experiencing 12-14" of snow, rain and freezing rain along with 10 foot drifts in some places and tornadoes in southern Oklahoma. Right through where we were going to be heading. We decided to play it safe and sratch the trip. I'm pretty bummed.

So now we are going to stay home, paint a couple of rooms and shampoo carpets. Doesn't that sound like more fun than seeing the Grand Canyon or Precious Moments Chapel? I DON'T THINK SO. Oh well, there is no point dwelling on it, so I might as well move on to something else.

I purchased a different phone today. Just so you know, if you are ever looking at buying a new cell phone, DO NOT buy a Motorola ROKR. They suck! I have a Samsung Delve touch screen phone. It's pretty cool!

Alright, it's late, and that is all for tonight. Bring on the snow tomorrow...we aren't going anywhere anyway!

Trip To Appleton

We made a trip to Appleton today for Jenny's Uppercase Living show. It was fun. Thanks again Jenny. I think you'll have a great show. Kamryn is getting so big. She'll warm up to Uncle Harland eventually! Also, good for you on going to they gym. I'm pretty proud of myself that I go in the basement and get on the treadmill and do the Wii Fit almost every day of the week. Now, I just have to get it to EVERY day of the week instead of "just about" every day of the week.

I don't really have anything else to post today. Other than Dawn and Aaron bought a new house and it's pretty cool. It's a small house, but it's their first one! I think it's cute.

Oh, and I have learned that we have a neighbor that really gets passionate about things. The picture is of a really big sheet hanging from his house. He's apparently very upset with AT&T. I'm not sure what that's all about!

Another Day

I had my Uncle Avery's funeral today. Saw a lot of family members that I haven't seen since the last funeral in September. I actually said hello to Justin. I haven't spoken to Justin in 3 years. Maybe its a step in the right direction.

I spent a half hour on the treadmill today and then another 36 minutes doing Yoga and Aerobics on Wii Fit. I'm beat. I hope it pays off! I just have to keep at it.

Sunday

What crappy weather today. Keri and I got a lot of stuff done around the house, however. We got all the Easter decorations put up and the Uppercase Living things put up that we had ordered. I spent a little time on the Wii Fit and on the treadmill. Time to get some of this weight off. I know it will be a challenge, but I am determined!

Other than that, today was just a good day to sit at home especially with the weather the way it is. I do have to say though, this crap needs to stop. I really want to start camping. Vacation will be a nice break from it! Can't wait for that either!

Weekend Get-a-way

So apprently it wasn't the flu because I had the nastiness for over a week! I had some viral infection...the fix you ask? Doc told me to eat Activia yogurt....regulate the digestive system and helps build probiotics (healthy bacteria) to help fight the viral infection. Either way..just nastiness.

Today Keri and I went with my cousins down to Wadsworth Ill (just over the state line) to visit relatives. They have a beautiful home there. We visted, ate, visited, snacked, and visited some more, and also played Wii Fit. That was a lot of fun. The picture here is of their main sitting room at their house. Very nice! The video is of my cousin Dean Hula Hooping on the Wii Fit.....HILARIOUS.

On a sad note, my uncle passed away this evening. The saying "...but their in a better place" was never consoling to me. However, the truth of the matter is that it is true with Avery. He gets to be with my Aunt Sheila now, which is all he ever wanted when she passed away last July. May the two of them be forever happy together resting in peace!

FLU!!!!!!!!!

I have been sick the last two days with the flu! It's nasty and I don't wish it on anyone! Thanks Schmootize for letting Aunt Keri know you were home last weekend! I'm sure she would have loved to see Kamryn!!! For that matter, I would have loved to see Kamryn! Just for that, Kamryn is getting TONS of chocolate and disguised energy bars for Easter!

HD service gets installed for the new television today. Since I am home sick and can't go to Mykena's birthday party in Green Bay, I thought I'd call Charter and see what they're doing today. Might as well make some use out of the day. I'm also working on some Uppercaseliving things because it looks like I'm going to start getting pretty busy in March! That is a good thing!
